Physical Therapists
Steve Mendicino, PT, Director of The Physical Therapy & Performance Center
Steve Mendicino is director of the Physical Therapy & Performance Center at The Cardinal Orthopaedic Institute. A certified SportsmetricsTM instructor, he has been a practicing physical therapist for the past 21 years, serving the central Ohio area for 16 years. Steve graduated from The Ohio State University and maintains a clinical interest and specialized training in sports medicine with experience at the high school, college and professional level. A former OSU wrestler, he remains active in the sport by coaching youth and high school students.
Holly Crichley, PT
Holly Crichley graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in both physical therapy and exercise physiology. She has been a practicing therapist for more than 10 years, specializing in outpatient orthopedics. Holly believes a combination of manual techniques along with exercise helps her patients reach their full potential. She enjoys seeing all types of orthopedic patients, but has a special interest in sports medicine injuries, specifically runners. An avid runner herself, Holly has completed 12 marathons, including the Boston Marathon, and has recently started biking and swimming in order to complete her first triathlon.
Marshall Robinson, PT, DPT
Marshall Robinson holds undergraduate degrees in health sciences and biology, as well as a doctorate in physical education from Duquesne University. He has a special interest in manual therapy of the spine and extremities; postural education; and sports conditioning and rehabilitation. Marshall's experience includes outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation with a concentration on neck and low back pain. He leads the practice's community Back School program. His professional experience includes home health work with patients related to pain management, improvement of balance and safety, and increasing overall function and independence. Marshall has completed coursework in Extremity 1 Stanley Paris manual therapy through the University of St. Augustine and separate coursework on "Manipulation and Mobilization of the Lumbar Spine." A native of North Canton, Ohio, he enjoys aviation, cooking, landscaping, sports, exercise and training.
Cynthia S. Ross, PT, DPT
Cynthia Ross is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in allied medical professions and psychology. She has 25 years of experience as the owner of a private practice treating individuals with orthopedic issues. Cynthia has special interest in joint replacements of the hip and knee. An avid advocate of regular exercise, she participates in yoga and bicycling on a weekly basis. She also enjoys gardening and sewing in her spare time.
Meri Beth Melink, PT, DPT
Meri Beth has been a practicing therapist for 20 years, with 19 years in outpatient physical therapy. She holds a bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University in allied health professions-physical therapy. In 1999, she earned her spine specialist certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy from The McKenzie Institute of America. In addition to her specialized spine training, she evaluates and casts custom foot orthoses and treats temporomandibular joint and muscle (TMJ) disorders. Her professional memberships include the APTA, OPTA, Orthopedic Section and The McKenzie Institute. Meri Beth resides in Gahanna with her husband Mike and two sons, Joshua and Christian.
Lisa Hausfeld, PT, DPT
Lisa holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Bowling Green State University and her doctorate of science in physical therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Lisa practices general orthopedic physical therapy with interests in manual therapy; risk assessment and injury prevention in the athletic population; and knee and shoulder injury/post-operative rehabilitation.
Katherine Graham, DPT
Katherine received both her master's and doctorate of physical therapy degrees from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and is board certified by the State Board of Ohio. She specializes in general orthopaedics, with a special interest in sports medicine. Her marathon and Ironman racing background gives her a unique approach to athletic rehabilitation. For interested cyclists, she is able to provide a custom bike fitting and biomechanical analysis to identify possible or potential sources of injury. She also has interest in introducing patients to the benefits of Pilates with rehabilitation. Helping the community is something Katherine enjoys doing on a regular basis. Her larger charity events have included Pelotonia, an event in which she raised money for the OSU James Cancer Hospital and rode her bike 100 miles alongside Lance Armstrong. She also was recently involved with organizing her own charity run/walk events in order to raise support and awareness for her favorite causes.
Eric Clevidence, PT, MPT, cert MDT
Eric has been practicing in outpatient orthopaedic physical therapy for 11 years beginning in the Cincinnati area then moving to Columbus in 2002. He holds a bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University in Health Sciences, and a master's degree from the University of Findlay in Physical Therapy. Eric is also currently pursing his doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in Boston, and his Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialty Certification through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). In 2010, he earned his spine specialist certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy from The McKenzie Institute of America. Despite extensive training in manual therapy for the knee, shoulder, foot/ankle, pelvic girdle/SI joint, lumbar, thoracic, and cervical spine, he believes that education and the patient's full participation in his or her rehabilitation is the most important component for an optimal, successful and sustained outcome. His professional memberships include the APTA, OPTA, Orthopedic Section and The McKenzie Institute. Eric resides in Clintonville with his wife of 5 years and enjoys a multitude of outdoor activities which include skiing, hiking, fly fishing, and playing baseball in both a men's senior league, and with a vintage baseball team through the Ohio Historical Society.
Catherine Donahue, PT
Catherine has been a practicing therapist for more than 15 years, primarily with an orthopedic and sports medicine population. She holds a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from Northeastern University in Boston, and has held a specialist certification in sports medicine from the American Physical Therapy Association Board of Specialties.
Jenelle Snyder, BS, DPT
Jenelle holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from The Ohio State University and her doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Dayton. Her clinical experience includes work with pediatric patients, as well as patients suffering from cancer, and neurological and orthopedic disorders.
Kelsey Thornton, BS, DPT
Kelsey holds a bachelor's degree in exercise science education from The Ohio State University and a doctorate degree in physical therapy from the University of Dayton. Her clinical experience includes work in both inpatient and outpatient orthopedic settings.
Kelsey has volunteered her time to the Special Olympics, Links to Literacy and the Salvation Army. She also enjoys participating in cause-driven 5k events.
Physical Therapy Assistants
Angela Daniel, BS, PTA
Angela Daniel is a physical therapy assistant with 10 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy with an emphasis on strength training. She holds an associate's degree in physical therapy assisting from Zane Trace College in Zanesville, Ohio, and a bachelor's degree in neuroscience from Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio. Angela has a special interest in returning clients back to sports, as well as aging knee and shoulder rehabilitation. A mother of three, her hobbies include time with children, coaching, cub scouting, hiking, camping and playing piano and violin.
Amanda Reed, PTA
Amanda is a licensed physical therapy assistant with an associate's degree in applied sciences from Hocking College. Her clinical experience includes working with central Ohio hospitals and physical therapy and sports medicine facilities. She also has experience in pediatric physical therapy. Her interests include sports medicine and pediatric physical therapy.
Trevor Knowles, PTA
A Columbus native, Trevor holds a bachelor's degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a minor in sports management. He is a licensed physical therapy assistant. Trevor enjoys spending time with friends and family, including his mother who is also a physical therapy assistant. He also spends time playing and coaching soccer, working out, reading and doing almost any athletic activity.
Shannon McKisson, PTA
Shannon attended the Central Ohio Technical College in Newark, Ohio, where she obtained two associate's degrees in both the nursing technology and physical therapy assistant programs. She is a licensed physical therapy assistant.
Before joining the practice, she served as an orthopedic nurse navigator at Mount Carmel East, where she led education efforts for joint replacement patients, from pre-surgery through discharge.
Her professional interests include aquatic therapy, pain management and work-hardening/reconditioning.
Certified Athletic Trainer
Timothy J. Rosch, ATC
Tim is a certified athletic trainer, with a bachelor's degree in physical education from The Ohio State University. He is a certified JumpStretchTM and SportsmetricsTM instructor, as well as a certified body fat assessor for the Ohio High School Athletic Association. He served as clinical and outreach athletic trainer with a local sports medicine and orthopaedic practice before joining the Physical Therapy & Performance Center at The Cardinal Orthopaedic Institute. Tim has supported the Columbus All-Americans Summer Collegiate Baseball Team as athletic trainer since 1996, and the OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament from 2007 to present. His professional memberships include the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the Ohio Athletic Trainers' Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Licensed Massage Therapist
Ken Klosterman, LMT
A licensed massage therapist, Ken Klosterman attended the Central Ohio School of Massage and the Columbus Academy of Medical Massage, where he studied integrated massage therapies for pain management of orthopedic injuries. His experience includes nine years at a Columbus-based sports medicine practice and 10 years with a chiropractic center, where he worked extensively with spinal-related injuries. He also has training in CranioSacral and Visual Manipulation therapy from the Upledger Institute. A former elementary school teacher, Ken holds a bachelor's and master's degree in education from Ohio University and the University of Dayton.
Personal Fitness & Wellness Director

Garry Benford, MS
As Personal Fitness and Wellness Director at the Physical Therapy & Performance Center at The Cardinal Orthopaedic Institute, Garry Benford helps patients transition from physical therapy to a long-term, post-therapy fitness program. He also hosts a free, monthly workshop titled "401 Fitness: An Investment in You".
A certified personal fitness trainer and strength and conditioning specialist, Garry holds a master's degree in exercise science and sports medicine from Slippery Rock University, where he was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009.
In 1989, he was inducted into the Powerlifting Hall of Fame and in 1990 he was named an Elite Level Powerlifter. He is an eight-time National Masters Powerlifting Champion; an American Masters Squat Record Holder at age 43; and a World Masters Bench Press Record Holder at age 53 following a series of joint replacement surgeries, including both shoulders and hips.
