Dr. Richard Fischer is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in disorders of the shoulder, sports medicine and general orthopaedics.

He was twice named Teacher of the Year for the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Ohio State University, and co-winner of The Donoghue Award for Sports Medicine Research from the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.

Dr. Fischer has been Orthopaedic Consultant for The Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic, Associate Orthopaedic Consultant for The Columbus Chill professional hockey team, Associate Team Physician for The Ohio Glory professional football team (World Football League), Orthopaedic Consultant for the Department of Athletics for The Ohio State University, Director of Medical Education for the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery for The Ohio State University, Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery for The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and Assistant Clinical Professor of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery for The University of South Florida College of Medicine.
