Raymond K. Wurapa, M.D.

Dr. Raymond Wurapa is a general orthopaedist, specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. He has unique expertise in tendon, nerve and soft tissue reconstruction; arthritis; carpal tunnel and other neuropathies; and upper extremity trauma reconstruction. He has been a member of the Cardinal Orthopaedic Institute since 2001.

Dr. Wurapa has contributed to several textbooks and publications, and has designed multiple surgical instruments, including Innomed's Wurapa Small Joint Compressor and Distractor and Buxton BioMedical's Carpal Tunnel Retractor.

He is a member of the American Medical Association, Ohio State Medical Association, Columbus Orthopaedic Society, Columbus Medical Association, and Jefferson Hand Society. He is Board-Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has received a Certificate of Added Qualification for Hand Surgery, and is an active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
