John A. Johansen, M.D.

Dr. John A. Johansen practices general orthopaedics and sports medicine with a special interest in complex arthroscopic and reconstructive shoulder surgery.

He has contributed to multiple medical journals on various topics including AC joint injuries, complications of elbow instability and ganglion cysts of the wrist. He has also done many academic presentations on topics such as shoulder instability and ACL injuries.

An Ohio native, Dr. Johansen was a member of the Ohio State men's tennis team where he was an Academic All American. Before starting practice in Ohio, Dr. Johansen served as an assistant team physician for the Georgetown University football team as well as the Baltimore Orioles.
