Joel R. Politi, M.D.

I've enjoyed bringing a new level of learning to high school students across the country through COSI's Surgical Suite. Their interest and curiosity constantly reminds me why I pursued medicine.

Joel R. Politi, M.D.

Dr. Joel Politi specializes in joint replacement and reconstruction. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and has been practicing in Columbus since August 2000 and is currently on faculty in the Mount Carmel Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program.

Dr. Politi is involved in several research projects related to joint replacement surgery including a recent FDA study of ceramic on ceramic total hip arthroplasty. He frequently speaks on a regional and national level regarding these topics.

In addition, he is the founding orthopaedic surgeon for COSI's Surgical Suite Total Knee Arthroplasty, an interactive live surgery program aimed at introducing high school students to the medical profession.
