In memory of Dr. Jaren D. Bombach

On Monday, December 26, Jaren D. Bombach, M.D., physician and partner at The Cardinal Orthopaedic Institute lost a several year battle with cancer. We extend our deepest sympathy to his family, and remain grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside such an outstanding and compassionate individual.

In a recent statement to the entire Cardinal Orthoapedic team, Dale Ingram, CEO, shared the following thoughts:

“For those of you that had the privilege of working with Dr. Bombach, there is not much to say - you know what kind of man and physician he was. All of us are better for having known him.

For those who did not have the opportunity, it is unfortunate. He truly was one of the cornerstones of our practice, and his sole focus was always doing what was in the best interest of our patients. To attempt to describe his strength, his spirit, and his genuine concern for others in so few words would be an injustice, but be assured that he was as good as they come.”

Dr. Bombach was a founding member of The Cardinal Orthopaedic Institute. And he was not only an integral member of the practice, but a respected member of the central Ohio medical community at-large, having recently accepted Mount Carmel’s Physician of the Year award in honor of his more than 30 years of service to the growth and development of the hospital system. He was also named 2009 Reader’s Choice award recipient within the orthopaedic category by Suburban News Publications.

A former Ohio State University football player, Dr. Bombach was quoted as saying this experience strongly influenced his decision to pursue a career as an orthopaedic surgeon. And we are thankful he did. As a result of this decision, he improved the lives of countless central Ohioans and served as an example of strength, integrity and compassion to all of us here at The Cardinal Orthoapedic Institute.

If you were a patient of Dr. Bombach’s, we hope you will continue to rely on our practice to meet the orthopaedic needs of you and your loved ones. If you need to schedule an appointment, please call us, and we will match you with one of our 28 expert orthopaedic physicians.
