Why is your billing address listed as a post office box in Cleveland?
To ensure that your payment is handled safely and properly, we use a lockbox, which is a post office box at the bank.

I was seen for a fracture and/or an injection but did not have surgery. Why does my billing statement show that my visit was for surgery?
Like all medical offices, we use a standard billing code (CPT) published by the American Medical Association. It just happens that the code for your procedure is listed as a "surgery" code in the CPT. So, while you did not have surgery per se, that particular code may appear on your statement as surgery.

I have an orthopedic injury resulting from a car accident. Will you bill my car insurance company directly?
Yes, but you must provide us with certain information as outlined in our policy.

I received an orthopedic injury while at work. Can I file this claim under the Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC)?
We do accept active workers' compensation claims. Please bring all available managed care organization (MCO) information. We typically DO NOT accept workers' comp claims that are more than a month old. If you have been treated by another orthopedic specialist for this condition and have been referred to our office by that physician, you must have an approved C-9 through the Bureau of Workers' Compensation before your first appointment with our office. Read our BWC policy.

I'm having trouble paying a bill from a past visit. Do you have programs to help?
We do offer relief to those who can demonstrate that they are financially unable to pay their bills. Payments are based upon a sliding-scale formula tied to your income. Please contact Patient Financial Services at (614) 545-7975 to learn more.
